Brenda was born in the Appalachian Foothills of Southeastern Ohio and moved to Brevard County in 1972. Brenda has worked in various businesses and industries in the Brevard County area obtaining an understanding for the deep diversity that exists within the county.

Brenda’s musical roots are varied from traditional bluegrass roots, her Jazz-playing grandfather and to the rock and roll of her youth. A former Andrew Jackson Middle School trumpet player she is convinced that art in our schools is a crucial element to raising well-rounded and productive citizens.. Her own artistic pursuits have led her to a love of all things fiber and simple acoustic musical instruments such as hand drums.
