E. A. R. T. H. Awareness of Brevard, Inc. is dedicated to the preservation
of creative outlets and natural experiences for the youth of Florida.
To assist Music, art & drama programs in our schools and to educate
children about preservation of the arts & Mother Nature. The goal
of our fund raising efforts is to produce an annual family festival
with an emphasis on the needs of our elementary school music programs
and to fund our direct-to-teacher classroom supply program for the arts
in the Central Florida Schools.

PALM BAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM WILL BENEFIT FROM THE STEPHEN
MILLER MEMORIAL BIKER & BLUES BASH.

and Space Coast Harley- Davidson / Buell are preparing for the 5th Annual
STEPHEN MILLER MEMORIAL BIKER & BLUES BASH at SPACE COAST HARLEY
– DAVIDSON / BUELL, EXECUTIVE CIRCLE, PALM BAY, FL ON SATURDAY,
OCTOBER 13, 2007 from 11 AM to 11:00 PM.
Non-Stop Music, all weekend long, is the goal of this years Stephen
Miller Memorial Biker & Blues Bash. The festivities will kick off
with a VIP Sponsor Cocktail Party, Thursday, October 11th from 7 PM
to 11 PM at the Crown Plaza, on the beach in Indialantic. Hors d’oeuvres,
beer, wine and a musical evening featuring the Brevard County IBC Competitors
of 2006, Ernie Southern and The Mills Brothers Blues Band will delight
the crowd. There will be a music memorabilia silent auction, raffles,
door prizes and more fun awaiting our music fans.
Friday, October 12th will feature “The Best Blues Bars in Brevard”,
revelers will have an evening to check out the great live music scene
in Brevard County, The Beach Shack, Earls Hide a Way, Key West Bar &
Yanni’s Grill and The Sebastian Beach Inn, will all feature top
notch bands for the evening, drink specials and fun.
Saturday, October 13th is the main event, The Stephen Miller Memorial
Biker & Blues Bash from 11 AM to 11 PM. The event will feature a
$100 Best Hand poker run. Registration for the Poker Run begins at 9:00
am. The run begins at Space Coast Harley – Davidson on US 1, just
north of the Pineda Causeway. Then it’s off to a local bar for
an After Bash Jam featuring the performers from the Blues Bash, from
10:30 PM to 1 AM.
Sunday, October 14th, from 10 AM to 2 PM, relax at the beautiful Crown
Plaza in Indialantic and enjoy a Gospel Brunch on the beach featuring
Eddie Scott & some of the best gospel singers and musicians from
the Space Coast, They will be bringing down the house for this special
musical brunch.
E.A.R.T.H. Awareness is a non profit group started in 1997. It is comprised
of entertainment industry professionals, musicians, artist, actors and
generally anyone who loves music and children. The organizations mission
is to preserve arts programming in our schools and pass on the culture
and the traditions of American roots music.
The weekend festivities will help raise funds for the Stephen Miller
“Music in the Schools Program” in Brevard County Elementary
Schools. This year, we have selected the Palm Bay Elementary School
Music Program as the beneficiary of the Stephen Miller Memorial Biker
and Blues Bash. This school has minimal instruments in their music program.
Our goal is to purchase new instruments for this school, so the children
can have hands on musical experiences in their classroom. Palm Bay Elementary
is a title 1 school and approximately 80% of the children in this school
are on subsidized lunch. The music teacher receives $1 per student per
year for music supplies. Help us help this wonderful school.
Stephen Miller loved kids and passing on his tradition of music to
area elementary school children is a way to honor his memory and his
love for traditional blues music. Steve played with many national acts
including Earl Hooker, John Lee Hooker, Elvin Bishop, The Allman Brothers
and Grinder Switch (to name just a few). Steve was instrumental in bringing
traditional blues music to the Florida Space Coast. Steve was one of
the founding members and the Hammond player for our own blues legend
“The Groove Monsters”. Saturday's lineup will include a
list of talented musicians, who had the privilege of performing and
learning from Steve, along with national and regional artist.
The Stephen Miller Memorial Biker & Blues Bash will be held at
Space Coast Harley Davidson / Buell, Executive Circle at 1440 Executive
Circle, just off Palm Bay Road, exit 176 & I-95 in Palm Bay, Fl.
There is a $10 donation at the gate to enjoy 12 hours of non stop music.
What an incredible day of blues music, paying tribute to Stephen Miller,
our beloved “Grandpa Blues”. The lineup includes, The Harbor
City Elementary School drum tribe starting off the day, showing what
they’ve learned with their new instruments from 2006, 35 Year
Rocking Blues Touring Band “The Night Hawks”, The Blues
Awards, 2006 Best Contemporary Female Blues Vocalist nominee, Barbara
Blue. Barbara is the reigning Queen of Beale Street and will be making
a special Florida appearance, Jason Ricci and New Blood will rock the
house with Jason’s amazing harmonica talents, along with south
Florida’s Albert Castiglia, Art Harris & The Z Tones, Treasure
Coast own Ben Prestage featuring Bruce Johnson & Joel Silver, the
“ Box Drummer”, Tampa Bay bluesmen, The Damon Fowler Group,
Ornage Blossoms -The Smokin Torpedoes, 2006 IBC Competitor from the
Space Coast – The Steve Thorpe Blues Orchestra, two of the Space
Coast favorites, The Usual Suspects, and Zion Blackhand & The Nite
Owls.
The list of supporting organizations involved for the event is growing,

taping and recording the event for a future CD / DVD project of E.A.R.T.H.
Awareness. Others who are helping ensure this event will be bigger and
better than ever are The Brevard County Blues Society which is hosting
a Backstage Hospitality area for the musicians and Brevard Live Magazine
is sponsoring the Musicians Merchandise Area.
Zion Blackhand a local blues harmonica player personally made a donation
again this year. He feels all children need the hope of music. The Music
& Motorcycle Community is coming together to ensure all children
have creative outlets and learn wonderful musical traditions.
A Poker Run will begin at 9:00 AM sponsored by the Saints Motorcycle
Clubhouse. Registration will be at 9:00 AM at Space Coast Harley Davidson
on US#1 just north of the Pineda Causeway. The poker run will wind through
the streets of Brevard County, stopping at Key West Bar in Indialantic,
cruising down beautiful A1A to the Sebastian Beach Inn, across the bridge
to Earl’s Hideaway and then up US 1, to the Wet Spot and east
on Palm Bay Road ending at the Blues Bash at Space Coast Harley –
Davidson / Buell Store in Palm Bay.
There will be kid's activities with fun carnival style games and a
bounce house. A make your own instrument workshop will be held from
noon to 4 PM. Kids will be able to make there own drum, or egg shakers,
brightly paint and decorate them and play in our drum circle at 4 PM.
The show will be held rain or shine. No Outside Food or Drinks, No
Video or Audio Recording Devices will be allowed, please No Pets or
Bad Vibes. Come enjoy a fun filled day of great Blues Music, Silent
Auction, Bike Wash, Kids Activities & Fun! Bring
your lawn chairs or blankets and spend a musical day to help buy instruments
for the kids at Palm Bay Elementary School.
